A high-ranking Russian general has been killed following an blast in Moscow, according to an investigative body.
The event happened on Monday morning when an explosive device placed beneath a vehicle exploded, causing the death of Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov.
Sarvarov was the head of the armed forces' unit responsible for operational readiness.
The committee stated that one theory under investigation involves the possible involvement of Ukrainian intelligence services. At this time, Ukraine has remained silent.
