Battlefield 6 BR Mode Launches Very Soon as a Complimentary Game Mode

Following months of speculation, the BR game type for BF6 is officially releasing. Last week's speculation claiming its release would coincide with the new season were spot-on. Gamers can access the mode starting very soon.

Launch Season Adding a New Map, Game Type, and Guns

Alongside the battle royale addition, Season 1 is also starting. This adds a fresh location, a new mode, and new weapons. On top of that, the Redacted Sector is making its debut. A included preview will be released at launch, giving gamers a preview of what's to come.

Free-to-Play Model Enables the Mode Open to Any Player

Maybe the most significant detail is that Battlefield Redsec will be free-to-play. In the vein of popular titles, you don't have to own the original Battlefield 6 to participate. Some gamers have previously tested early versions of the game type. These trials were run in a collaborative space, which the developers described as their largest fan involvement project.

The heart-pounding excitement while fighting another squad is unmatched in different last-man-standing mode. It feels do or die, and you actually care if you make it or not.
Although I was a snob previously, I'm fully supportive of the battle royale since trying it.

These initial reactions from players have been very positive. Of course, the experience may have been adjusted over the past couple of months in terms of game balance and tempo. But, initial indicators are strong that Redsec could become a true alternative to leading games. Many are hoping that the best guns from the main game will be available in the BR.
