Kane celebrates his century goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in coming back to the Premier League has diminished and he is willing to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.
The prolific striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he inked when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for £86.4m in the transfer window of 2023.
The experienced forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga title - which marked the first major honor of his distinguished career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has earlier mentioned that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.
However, the England skipper has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would definitely consider extending his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.
"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an honest conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would probably say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have discovered in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and recently became the speediest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five competitions, reaching the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had eluded him until he lifted the German title last season.
Kane admits that he was not sure how he would respond after breaking his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I challenged myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
